Day 1
We reached the airport around 5.30 am, but we were all excited including Val who woked up at 5 am. Look at her morning face :P

A friend's family picked us up from the airport and straight away brought us around the city since we can only check in our rented apartment at 12 pm. We rented a car at the airport and my brother is the driver. Here we are at Tanjung Aru Beach and Val found her own activity under the hot sun.

Finally, we are able to check in our 3 bedrooms apartment, a very cozy and clean place where will be staying for the next 2 nights.

After checking in into the apartment, we straight away went for lunch at One Borneo, a huge shopping centres in KK and did some shopping. (Didn't take pics of it here as everyone was getting tired now after having to wake up so early in the morning). Managed to squeeze in some nap time before our dinner at a fine and packed restaurant.
Day 2
Second day was a trip to Kinabalu Park. This trip won't be complete without a visit to KK's most famous attraction, Mt Kinabalu. Of course, we didn't climb it as special training was needed in order to go on top the mountain. The weather was good and we can see the tip of the mountain clearly.
And our group photo XOXO :)
Took a stroll at Kinabalu Park and visited the museum where Val get to see a lot of artifact.

Val got to try her first hot spring here...:) At first she was shocked when her feet touched the water as it was super hot but slowly she got accustomed to it. Luckily we managed to get a private room to soak as the outside pools are all fully occupied. Val literally jumped into it and had her moments inside and refused to get out even after 20 mins. The hot spring really helped improves our blood circulation and I can feel my blood going up to my brain and face. My mom had to drag her out finally and quickly carried her outside, of course with lots of struggles from her.

We finally took a break after the long journey at one of the eating place and enjoying the spectacular view.

We proceeded straight to dinner after Kinabalu trip. A sumptuous seafood dinner (A must eat at KK). I kept telling my Dad that I can't eat anything anymore and they should just 'da bao' for me after the long and winding road trip up and down to Kinabalu Park. But once I saw all these seafood, my nausea disappeared straight away hahhaha....We choose our own seafood and the method of cooking here...Many types of fish, prawns, cockles, oysters, crabs and eels...

And our yummy dinner :) Hubby ordered an ice kacang which came in a real big bowl....Just feel like eating it after a hot and tired day...But ice kacang and seafood? Hhmm...Didn't really go along well...hehehhe...

After the full dinner, we stopped by the roadside for some silky smooth delicious coconut jelly :P yummy...

Day 3
We were finally at the beach now. Val has been longing for this moment since she saw me packing for her swimsuit, swimming floats and beach tools. Here we are at the secluded and private beach of Nexus Karambunai Resort. It's a very beautiful resort and I always make it a point to stay here for every visit even if it's for one night. Besides, this place holds a lot of memories since my first visit here with a good pal of mine *wink
Val enjoying her beach play but she didn't dare to sit on it. Well, I wouldn't approve either as this part of the beach has a lot of tiny crabs running around. You literally see them everywhere.

I guess these are homes of the mini crabs....Managed to catch one for pic (below) as they run very very fast...

We had a dip in the pool after the beach play. The water is really warm and nice even my mom and aunt also went for a dip hahahah...:) Val straight away wanted to jump into the pool once she reaached there...Haiz....She really loves water that much...She even dipped her head inside the water a few times and insisted to get rid of all her floats...*shake head* She ran away twice after I 'dragged' her out and jumped into the pool, luckily hubby who was still inside the pool managed to catch her...otherwise, I can't imagine...*stress Mommy here* She is just too daring and dangerous, not even a bit of scared of the big pool even she only visited the pool once a year...

After a good swim, we went for a yummy Indian food...Yeah, my family loves Indian food :) And after the hearty dinner, we went to claim our "Welcome Drink". Guess what drink was it? I kept praying that it's not fruit punch hahhaha....And to our surprise, it was Ginger Juice ^_^ And it's an extremely good one....(thumbs up)

And here are some pics of our 2 bedrooms pool villa. Actually we wanted to book for a 3 bedrooms one, but they were all taken....:( So we just had to settle with 2 bedrooms...Regretted that our time at Nexus was not long enough...Didn't get to go to the Lagoon Park for the water sports this time...

Day 4
Managed to squeeze in another swim time before we head to airport on our journey back to Singapore...4 days was really too short...Hhmmm....

Here are our accommodation and mode of transportation :)

On the flight back to Singapore...Val woken up just before we boarded the plane and it was busy moment for all of us....*grin With her talking, climbing and walking non stop...

That's our short trip to KK, though it's tiring but it certainly created many memories for all of us...And most important I got to meet up with a good pal, though it's only for a short one hour, we certainly glad to be able to see each other again...^_^
Till our next holiday....:)
