New adventure begins...

as Valerie enters childcare today...:) We kept reminding her to wake up early the day before and she woke up at 7.30 am instead the usual 10 am hahhaa...getting excited telling me, "Yao du shu" (wanna go school). Get her change to her uniform and she starts standing at the gate, rushing us to go out soon...:P Here she is, posing with her uniform and with her signature "Cheese"....:)

We reach her childcare at 8.30 am and proceed to her breakfast arena, a piece of bread and a cup of milo. Fine with me as she already has her morning milk at home. She just couldn't keep still to finish her breakfast, more interested in touching the furniture and toys around, and she is a real impatient toddler ^_^

After breakfast, we proceed to the morning assembly area where all the kids gather together to do some morning exercise and this girl soon joined in the fun. After some 30 mins, all of them were separated to their own age group and so happen that Val's group only has 4 students at the moment, another 4 will be joining in January. 3 girls and 1 boy, so coincidentally the 3 girls are all born in September and the boy in November. But judging by their sizes, Val is the tiniest of all....sigh...

Next is their playing together time, Val has already helped herself with some of the puzzles and the rest follow suit. After some time, the teacher suggested to change to the cooking toys and all of them started to cook away. This is when Val started to misbehave as one of the girls wanted to have the bubble blower (not sure why it's in the cooking set) which Val was playing with earlier, and Val straight away want to snatch it back. Of course with the defence from Kai Lin (her new friend), Val started to hit her. Haiz....this rough girl of mine. Feel so phai seh and the teacher saw her true colour on the very 1st day. ^_^

After some playing time, it's early lunch time at 11 am. Menu for the day is rice with ABC soup and Val straight away dig into her bowl once it was put down...hahhaa....to her teacher amazement...But it was only for 10 mins and she started to look for a toy to accompany her while eating...Got to admit, it was a bad habit developed at home and the rest of the classmates follow suit...Bad example indeed...Val was the first to finish her lunch after some feeding (while she is busy playing) by auntie helper...The rest of the kids didn't finish their lunch, and I check with one of the moms, saying that it's always a chore to get her daughter to eat but she is taller and more well built than Val...It turned out later that she is good in snacking and drinking milk....no wonder... :-P

Next programme is dancing and sing songs where all the kids get crazy, running around, jumping, dancing with their own styles :) Just before the bed time, the kids are allowed to watch Barney Show, which is another hit as most children sit quietly to watch except some who still prefer to do their own stunts, including Val inside. She is throwing herself to a bunch of mattresses and having her own time. And being the super 'kay poh' girl, she even helped the teacher to bring some mattresses over for some of the children who are taking naps there *shake head... She can just hardly sit down for more than 5 mins.

Overall, I am quite happy with the childcare, the form teacher is a very patient and lovely lady. She can even tame a crying toddler into a happy one in merely 2 hours. This little girl was crying very badly for the first hour but slowly, this form teacher gained her trust in the second hour, and she never even looked for her mother since, joining into the crowds happily. Impressive! Just hope that Val will not be a crying baby once we leave her for full day next week *fingers crossed

Stay tune for more updates....:P

Take the first step in faith. You don't have to see the whole staircase - just take the first step
