We are BACK !

It has never felt this good to be back at Singapore :) Mainly 3 reasons:
Firstly, the weather in Singapore is much much cooler and windier than that in Ipoh, I think easily 5 degrees lower.
Secondly, this can not be considered as a smooth journey as Val contracted flu just 2 days and cough 1 day before we depart then developed fever once we touched down at Ipoh :( And the super duper hot weather made it worse, feel like we are in the oven all the time, the heat is just unbearable.
Thirdly, Val turned into a whiny cranky girl all the time we were there. I think her second molar is sprouting out at the moment as she is into biting things now.

We are still lucky that her appetite was still good and she was still actively herself despite the constant whining. Guess she is feeling very uncomfortable, with a very thick mucus and phelgm which I have to keep sucking to make her feel better. Most of my friends said that's the case when kids started childcare or school, they will fall sick easily and eventually will get through this 'adjustment' phase later. *sigh

Despite all this challenges, we happily welcome the Year of Tiger with a bright and positive mind, hope this year all of us will be healthier, happier and wealthier :)


Here are some captured moments during our holiday:

Lunch and browsing around T3 before our departure. She fell asleep in the flight as she was very tired (thank GOD) as I was so worried she will get ear pain due to her blocked nose.

Finally brought her to paediatrician as she still have very heavey mucus and phelgm after 3 days there. My poor girl inhaling from nebuliser supposed to loosen the phelgm in her lung. She hold it on her own despite seeing it for the first time, my brave girl. And finally cried when the nurse tried to suck her mucus using a tube stuffed into her nose. Haiz....the rough nurse hurt her nostril and bleeds, no wonder she was resisting as it was very uncomfortable.


Waited for a friend at KFC and sticker book is a good company.

First day of CNY, visiting the uncle's where most of the relatives and kids can be met here.


Went to Godgranparents' house where she sticks to her favourite Gu Gu who always buys her ice cream and clothes. She gets real pampered here :P

This is the 'special' moment when Val bonds with Xiao Gu as this it the first time she lets Xiao Gu carries her. Hahhahaha....She still remembers clearly how Xiao Gu scolded her during CNY last year as she was playing with the house phone. Xiao Gu is the only person she is afraid of and can discipline her. And finally one day before we came back, she befriend with Xiao Gu again hehehee....We can definitely feel how relieved Xiao Gu feels now *LOL


And to celebrate the 'new found' friendship, Xiao Gu showed her pop pop (a type of fireworks that make popping sound when lit up and thrown on the floor). Val was enjoying the moment and the many fireworks around in the area too.


Brought Val and her cousins to a mini theme park nearby afterwards. All of them enjoyed so much.


On the way back to Singapore, Val was super energetic, climbing up and down at the airport and in the plane and only sat down when muffin and drink are served. Wuih....


Overall, Val had most fun during this trip while we are exhausted from entertaining her :)
