An Unforgettable Experience

Honestly, it was not easy to travel with an active toddler alone. Our journey started from home around 4.30 pm, luckily Daddy managed to come home early and accompanied us to airport :P Reached airport around 5.15 pm and the counter was not open for check in yet so we went over to T3 for dinner first. Val was so excited and after her meal she was running around happily already, chasing other kids and following them around. Daddy was playing bodyguard to her by following her secretly and she didn't even bother to see whether we were following behind as she moved further away to chase other kids.

After check in, we proceeded through immigration as Mommy wish to do some duty free shopping. However, it won't be easy to not seeing Daddy for the next 3 weeks. Hahaha...Can't stand the Daddy and little girl, they were waving good bye at every point, in front of the security, before the luggage scan, while queuing for passport check, Val kept turning back and waved to her Daddy. I know that she will be missing him a lot :P

Initially, Val was behaving real sweet by sitting on the push cart while I browsed around some shops. Quite unlucky that some shops are under renovation and we had to walk further from our departure gate to more shops at the other end. By the time we reached our departure gate, I was pretty tired already and never imagined it was just the beginning of this little girl's adventure.

She was so excited in the waiting room and we were the few who arrived first. So she started to run around, getting to know everybody (shake hands, touch other passengers' bags, luggage, handphones, etc), climbing chairs and over the barrier, screaming in delight, while ignoring all the warning signs from me. There were a few occasions where I had to drag her back as she was too bold in actions already. Everyone in the waiting area was watching us, so embarassing. She was just like a kid being let loose from the jungle to the city. Haiz...

It didn't get any better in the plane, I quickly made her milk to buy some time, but the plane didn't depart on time. It was the longest ever waiting time for me. She was moving, standing, touching every part on the seats. And nightmare happened around 25 mins before landing. Her ears were blocked and she was in pain. She was crying, wailing, screaming her heart out, at the same time kicking, throwing everything supposed to calm her down. Even the stewardess was so nice by singing her "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" with some actions, but she couldn't be bothered. Thank God the plane landed finally and she reduced her crying.

Val was back to her cheerful self soon on the way to Gong Gong's house. She started running around and exploring the surrounding once we reached home. And this went on till 12 am plus, she was crawling everywhere in the all dark bedroom, touching here and there. Didn't remember what time she finally dozed off, cause both Mommy and Po Po also very tired entertaining her. I guess it will be a long time before Mommy finally has the courage to travel alone with her again *grin*
